BREAKING NEWS :  The chain Viva Resorts presented the real estate development « Viva Residence Playa Dorada » as part of the brand « Viva Residence » with which it identifies its portfolio of products for the residential tourism market.

Viva Residence also includes real estate developments in Bayahibe and Las Terrenas locally, and in the Bahamas abroad.

This real estate development boasts Viva Resorts’ more than 20 years experience in the local and international markets, in addition to a specialized and trained personnel that has contributed to its continued success.

Viva Residence Playa Dorada is formed by the tourism complex of the same name, which allows buyers to enjoy all the comforts in the resort facility, as well as to satisfy all needs through the Viva Resorts management services.

This project has 120 one-room apartments of 56 square meters completely furnished, with bathrooms in marble, private terrace, sofa bed, wet bar and executive refrigerator.

Other facilities in the property include a swimming pool and jacuzzi, discotheque, spa and gymnasium, boutique, stores, casino and an 18 hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones.

Tourist development plan of Cabarete

Tourism involves the hotels and the Community

BREAKING NEWS: CABARETE. - Owners of hotels and representatives of the tourist Community of Cabarete exposed the main issues which affect this tourist pole within the framework of the Program of Participative Workshop on the plan of the Tourist Development for this zone set up by the Secretariat of Tourism (Sectur).

This last claims to interact with the active company of the zone and to specify the main axes of the plan in order to create a sustainable development for this tourist area.

The workshop was carried out by professionals and technicians of Management Planning and Projects of Sectur, which is coordinated by the architect Maribel Villalona.

The under-secretary of Tourism for the Northern area, Cesar José de los Santos, also took part in the workshop and listened to the reports on the problems faced by the Community and the tourist pole of Cabarete.

Considering the constant development of this tourist destination, the hotel keepers recognized the need of a revival of Cabarete among the public and private sectors and the investors in agreement with the new requirements of sustainable and competitive tourism.

The participants discussed the effectiveness of the services of drinking water, electricity, the security of the tourists and of the beaches, the infrastructures of the urban development, the environment and the natural resources as well as the attractions offered to the visitors.

During this meeting, representatives of various local organizations underlined the need that the real estate projects do not exceed three levels high and that seismic and winds studies are carried out to regulate the construction of those without affecting the environment nor the excellent existing conditions for the practice of water sports, principal asset of the rise of tourism of the zone.

They explained that the wind is vital for Cabarete because it is used as scene for water sports events like surfing, windsurfing and kite boarding which receive the attention of million of foreign people coming from all the Europe and of the United States.

The hotel keepers expressly require a fast solution of the problem of delinquency, prostitution and criminality as well as the installation of an educational program for the young people of the Community.

They required, moreover, the construction of car parks because of the chaos caused by the traffic jam and because of the rapid development of the projects which are carried out in this tourist area.
